This week: 1) SBAC Testing concludes this week on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons. Try to avoid pulling your child out of school early on these days. Make sure they get a good night's rest and have a good breakfast and lunch!

What's Going on in D25?!
Reading Workshop: We're beginning another class favorite novel: The One and Only Ivan! We'll use this book to study point of view, along with a host of other standards. But our main focus will be on enjoying this wonderful book together as we get to know the characters as friends!
Writing Workshop: We're learning the elements and structure of Opinion Writing and practicing forming opinions and providing reasons.
Math: We're continuing with the skills of Module 6 (Measurement and Graphs) by making our own graphs. As always, you can have your child log in to Zearn and Eureka Math for extra help and practice with this concept. You can also visit matific, or XtraMath for practice with multiplication facts.
Word Work: This week we'll be reviewing many of the skills covered this year. For extra practice, check out www.grammarworkshop.com of the green level. We've covered all Units 1-6.
Coming up: 1) Progress Reports will be sent the weeks of April 16th and 23rd if there is a concern. 2) Mark your calendars for our 3rd Grade Music Performance on Thursday, May 3rd at 10:15 a.m.!
3) Open House is Thursday, May 17th! Swing by the Science Fair from 5-6p.m.. Then join us in the classroom from 6-7p.m.
4) Friday, May 18th is a minimum day with dismissal at 12:40.
